I have visited many fairs. But a book fair is my favourite. Every year I visit this fair with my brother. This year I visited the kolkata Book fair in the Maiden. The gate was beautifully decorated. Lots of stalls were set up in an enclosed area. The stalls stood in rows. They were nicely designed with books. Books were there open to have been seen ,read and browsed. Every stalls were offering discounts. In the evening the fair ground turned to fairy land. Mothers and their children with good dresses crowded the stalls. The fair gave a festive look in the evening. I went round and round with out felling least tired. Besides books,there were quite a few story books and a learner dictionary. I enjoyed every moment of the evening spent at the place.

Tress are our best friends and good neighbors . From the beginning of the civilisation trees have been playing the role of protector and benefactor. Trees give us flowers and fruits,shade  and shelter. They supply us fule and furnitures. We also get honey,gum,wax,rubber, cotton etc. from tress. They absorb carbon dioxide and give out oxygen with out which we can not live. Many life saving medicines are prepared from various burbs . Besides they prevent flood, drought and land slides. On the other hand they bring rains to help cultivation. But some selfish persons cut trees thoughtlessly. If this problem is not prevented our survival will be in danger. So,we must have the motto " Each one,to plant one." Thus we can make our earth greener,cleaner and safer for future.

Seasons are six. But they are mainly summer , monsoon, autumn, winter and spring. Summer comes first. It starts from April and ends in June. It is the hottest season of the year. Ponds,tanks and rivers are dry up. This season is blessed with fruits etc. Then comes the monsoon to cool the earth . Clouds cover the sky. Tanks and ponds get up filled. But the heavy rain causes floods. Next comes autumn. The sky gets clear and beautiful. It is the season of festivals. Durga puja,the greatest festival of Bengal is held now. The winter comes in November and lasts up to January. These are the cold months. It is the time of greatest festivals of the Christians. It is the time of fruits,feasts,fairs, festivals and function. Next appears spring with beautiful flowers and pleasant weather. It is the season of beauty and pleasantness. Thus completes the cycle of seasons.

A school magazine is a student's organ in school. It is usually published once a year. The students themselves edit it under the guidance of a teacher. Articles of the magazine are short stories,essays,poems and editorial notes. The magazine committee screens and corrects them. The articles are however selected on the basis of merit. A student feels proud and happy when he finds his writing in print. The magazine stimulates the dormant literacy faculty among the students. It develops their power of thinking and writing. Discipline means obedience to rules. Everything in this universe or nature is in order. Discipline teaches us to maintain this order. Without discipline there will be complete chorus and disorder around us. Discipline is necessary in every walk of life. A family cannot stay together if the members fail to maintain the rules of conduct in it. An army cannot march on or win the battle if the soldiers are not disciplined and obedient to the commander. A school cannot run will if the students are not disciplined. A good school means a school where the students are well disciplined. A teacher cannot teach a chaotic class. Again no play is possible if the players fail to follow the rules of the game. The sun ,the moon,the stars and  the entire universe move in a perfect order. If this order fails there will be collision and crash among the heavenly bodies. So,discipline must be maintained at any cost. So it is to be taught to the students from the early stage.

Man needs friends. He wants parents for love and protection. He requires relatives for delight him in reunion. But he needs friends to gladden him by constant companion. Man is a social animal. He cannot live alone. His happiness is increased in the company of his friend. His sadness is shared by him. Friendship is a bond between two human beings. It makes both of them happier beings. It is based on mutual attraction. But true friends are rare "There are men and women but every stone is not a gem." True friendship is based on love. It is everlasting. True friends stick to each other even in danger. Time and distance cannot separate them. We must be careful about selecting our friends. Friends must be honest,simple, sincere and faithful. We must be aware of fake friends. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
